Cheap Dates

Love is in the air but times are tough ...cash is tight so how can you show your'e snuggle bunny that you care while saving a penny or two. Heres our list of fun cheap dates.
1. Bowl your honey over at the local bowling alley. Go on a "rockin' disco night" for added nostalgia and fun. Put your favorite pet names up on the board for a lil' PDA.

2. Do a 'happy hour' meal deal. Lots of restuarants have deals earlier in the evening or on slower nights during the week. So call ahead and ask. Sign up for restuarant deals at sites like Muncharoo.com or groupon.com 

3. Can you say..."Dive Bar"! Its not a dive bar if it doesnt have cheap drinks. Make a game and try to hit three new dive bars that you've never been to. Challenge your sweetie to darts or pool (another dive bar requirement). The looser pays for the juke box.

4. Top Chef It. Search new receipes on the internet, buy a bottle of wine and let your inner Julia Child out as you prepare a meal together.

5. Get some culture... Visit the Crossroads or the Nelson and discuss art. But it's a lot of fun just to people watch too.

6. Get some class... Enroll in a class through Communiversity or you local community center. Lots of fun and new horizons for cheap. Kite making anyone?

7. Be civic and volunteer together. Help out at your local school, or visit a nursing home.

8. Pick each other's favorite hobby and spend some time teaching each other the finer points of your interest.

9. Visit your local library to rent you next movie for a fraction of the cost. Make a bucket list of the 'classics' and spend the weekend with some popcorn, cocoa and all your favorite romantic movies. Visit our website for a list of suggested titles under resources.

10. Visit your local coffee shop for open mic night, sneak in a flask to make the coffee a lil more 'adult beverage-like'.  Enjoy!
